HondaLink Navigation NA App Reviews

This Honda Link has never worked right. My wife asked me to make it work again and it keeps giving an error "Cannot connect to Server". I have done all of the tricks that people have posted, Bluetooth On Off on phone and Honda, Turn Wifi off, un-pair and pair phone (Apple IPhone 6) again. This used to just work now it is a clunky POS.

This latest version 2.3.0 Navigation App is a total failure. At the top of the screen is a white bar approximately 1/2 wide from the top causing the display to hide the distance, Next street, and time to turn. Also, the system locks up when you put in an address, and you have to kill it in order to get it back running. The tech support should have tested the app before sending it out. It has made my system totally useless as far as navigation goes. FIX THIS PROBLEM

This app sucks the big one. The tech support people are more useless than tits on a turkey.

This app is a piece of Junk!!! After 1 year we finally decided we will toss it so we bought a Garmin...We are on vacation right now and we kept getting lost because the app keeps losing connection. How I wish we researched the reviews before we believed the Honda Salesman who sold this app to us. Thank God we have an old fashion map which saved us from getting terribly lost...its very stressful! We had to order the Garmin on Amazon and get it

Have only had my new Honda crv ex for two weeks and this app for a few days. So rated it four stars as have not fully wrung it out. With that said, I dont understand all the dissatisfaction. Mine works quite well and is a no brainer for the 60 buck price. The onboard Honda nav would mean moving up in their trim categories and paying thousands more (yes they also have leather etc). Mine is a accurate and the voice instructions, so far, seem to be quite helpful. In addition to the app I purchased an Apple Lightning to HDMI converter and used existing hdmi and usb cables. So the adapter was less than fifty bucks from amazon. Total cost for adapter and app was less than 110 bucks. Cant imagine griping too much for that price. Am happy so far.

Maybe it will work. If you happen to get everything going BEFORE you start diving then your ok. Just dont hit any kind of bump because screen will go black and if you got music going that will stop too. Then you gotta stop to redo everything all over again!!! Just pray you dont hit a bump.... ZERO stars. I want a refund.

The app has lots of problem and is very finecky and a pain/almost impossible to use while driving and you cannot use your phone while its on, took us out into the middle of nowhere then lost connection while simply trying to get to the beach. ZERO STARS

I love my car but this app not so much. It does not always work. You have to plug it in and take it out and repeat. Its great when it works. I called customer service once, never again will I do that again. He thought since I was of the female gender, I knew nothing. Boy was he wrong. Now if he talked to my husband, that would have been a different story. Anyway, he said when Apple updated their OS, they would fix their system. I told him their was several updates since I bought the app and it still sucked. MEN!!! Another problem, we have two drivers so we had to pay for the app twice, one for each phone - no fair!!

I loved this app for my Honda Fit until a couple of weeks ago when I started getting "cannot connect to server - retry" constantly. Reading other reviews it seems that is because I did the iOS update and its no longer compatible. Really annoyed because I have to use google maps which I hate and I paid for this app and the cable which are now useless. Honda you need to fix this ASAP!

Good navigation app. But needs more features. Like being able to reduce the amount of voice prompts. Most navigation systems you can turn off, set to minimal or normal. This app has very little customizing that can be done.

Worst nav system I have ever used. Standard iPhone nav is 3000% better. Ill stick with my iPhones map or my Garmin. Dont waste your money on this failure.

Built-in SatNav wasnt an option on EX model but this app with iPhone 5S works ok. Isnt as pretty to look at as Garmin but it certainly got me where I needed to go. Does drain phone battery quickly and uses air time but I dont need nav on a daily basis so for occasional use, I am satisfied. Google maps doesnt work through HDMI interface when vehicle is moving so the only way to use the phone is to prop it on dash (not recommended) or buy holder.

Its also uses data. I wouldve got the higher civic model with the built in navigation. The gps is not that great looking neither. I want my money back waste of money.

Its very frustrating to use. Especially when driving. I cant seem to find if there is options for alternate routes. It wants to send me down roads it recognizes as closed. I too would have upgraded to another package for a better nav sysytem.

I like the simpleness of the app works great but only if you have data connection, without data connection its useless, hopefully they will make it offline then ill give 5 star,

Baught it and adapters for the car, HDMI, doesnt appear on the screen, Garbage.

Nothing work. I paid $59 plus HST for Navigation, not to mention all required cables another $100, I cant even use it. I tried with iPhone 5s, iPhone 6; and the 6 plus, nothing work, Im very disappointed.

Get Google Maps. Its better and its free. This takes special cables to use properly and its a garbage app. Not only that, your roaming has to be on if you go into the U.S. and I know I was told you didnt need data. Terrible. I feel totally ripped off.
