Works fine

It work pretty fine, when you find the right way ! Yes you have to buy cables and adaptor. We should have more options !!

really frustrated-refund my money

Please don’t waste your money.

Good but needs other options

I just purchased the app its good but I have to say a few extra options would make it better. 1st thing thats missing is route options" fastest time or shortest distance" which would be nice for going all highway or through the city. 2nd function would be announcing street names so you dont need to take your eyes off the road to see how close you are to the next turn. 3rd options would be, being able to adjust the volume of the gps. Or having the radio volume decrease while turns are announced because I noticed that the gps volume is way to low when your radio is on. Id give this app 5 stars then.

Stable and functional

Using the latest release with the apple HDMI connector. It doesnt have all the nice features you can find in standalone GPS but it works well and can find the adresses i have searched for in a number of Canadian cities. It doesnt allow you to enter adresses in motion but you can select the saved adresses in motion i.e. like home. Its very disapointing that phone contact cannot be used. There is not really a location and place database but you can use the other link app to find the adresses and enter it into nav. The application is basic and work as intended. Need to ensure bluetooth is on and connected. I would HIGHLY recommend honda improve this app to allow other honda link applications to send destinations into it and allows use of phone contact. Adding a send to navigation option into the link app would be fantastic from other apps. I still use Waze in the background and can hear WAZE navigation through the radio when connected. I wish they would make an app that allowed waze to be used with the honda link apps. This application is really overpriced for the feature it provides.

Doesnt work when you need it most.

Had an emergency and had to take my GF to the hospital. I had no idea how to get there and both gmaps and apple maps werent loading. So in a panic I purchased this. Searched "hospital" it found the hospital so I click to Nav to it. It took us the other side of the city to an abortion clinic! Seriously!? If I cant rely on it for an emergency I dont want it.

Cheated

Not what I expected when I seen the name Honda. This app was hard to get started.Screen is very plain. The one that came with my phone is much more detailed.

Andrew

TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. Do not buy this app. GPS is garbage!!! Wish I could get me money back.

Waste of money it doesnt work give me my money back

Bad user experience

Dont waste your money on this app. Youll be better buying a dashboard cradle and use any other navigation app (Apple maps, google maps, Tom Tom, navigon, waze). Too slow to load. To slow to react to route changes (missed exits, detours, etc). No option to select a route: it decides one route and thats it, no choice from multiple routes, no option for faster route, no option for shorter route. Traffic information is not accurate Phone needs to be connected by Bluetooth and HDMI in order to work. If you are 2 persons using the same car, it has troubles to handle the Bluetooth and connect to the right one. The one as passenger needs to turn off his/her Bluetooth to avoid the phone connecting instead of the driver phone. Too expensive application for a too bad experience. At some point I had a playlist with a music video on it. When the turn of the video arrived, the iPhone Music started to play de video and it appeared on the car stereo screen, taking over the navigation app. I didnt know what was happening for a while, the time enough to miss my exit. And because the app is too slow to react, I took the following exit that goes nowhere This app does not have the Honda quality standards. Honda should dump this application and allow CarPlay on all car models with hardware already able to support it

CarPlay

Hondalink application is really bad. Everything is wrong. Such as connection and aha and GPS. I suggest to Honda please get CarPlay work on all the models. And end this big headache for everybody. Thanks

Excrement in digital form

Worst user experience possible. Not setting. Pure trash.

Worth the few bucks!

Ive only had the app a week but I must say it has worked as described every time Ive used it. Well worth the money

It is absolutely garbage

Think we should file a petition full refund doesnt work properly and doesnt give you any information

Good, but still needs features.

Thank you for adding copy and paste to this app! It is still annoying that you have to stop the car, put the car in park, plug in the cable, select navigation, click OK to approve the navigation on the iPhone, search for the destination, then approve the destination before anything works. I would much rather plug in the phone have it auto connect then allow me to use Siri to request my destination and approve it. And allow this to happen whether Im driving or not. Also lately, with the current version, the default voice is followed by the Siri voice giving the street name which is very annoying and kind of comical.

Nice idea but poorly done app

It’s 2015 and no spoken street names, amazing functionally gap and a real safety issue since I have to look at the screen every time. Weird way to start the app, once it starts Bluetooth audio stops playing. On the latest version navigation stops when you answer a phone call, Honda should invest in at least 1 hour of QA before releasing apps.

Not Happy

After 2 months and a lot of frustration using this app, I am very unhappy. I have been trying to get used to it but now I have discovered it is using my streaming data like crazy. I have gone from 3GB per month to 10!!!! This is going to cost me dearly to use. Looks like I am going back to using TOMTOM on my iPhone and have a screen in front of me that I don’t use. Can anyone help advise me on using less data?

2016 Odessey

Will not work with 2016 Odessey. Wish I knew that before I paid for it. Nowhere does the app tell you this.

Could be better but helpful

I just bought a noew car and rather than shell of a lot more money the car dealer suggested that as I will probably not be using the navigation all the time the Honda app might be a better way to go. I bought the app and bought the required cables. I tested the app on my regular journey to work and it took me to my destination just fine. I then used it for a long journey and I arriced with only a small problem. The problem I had was that I touched the screen and it paused the app or something which caused me to park the car and reset the destination. Im still learning to use it and only noticed the back button today. I would like more options to be added, such as shortest route, change of voice and the ability of listening to my podcasts while the navigation is working. I would have to say that Im happy so far with the map. Ive now used it for 3 different locations and each time I was directed to the correct destination. Okay, its perhaps not perfect but I would rather have something than nothing and at least it will show on the cars TV screen when you are driving. As far as Im aware you have no other alternative. For $60 a year its probably worth taking a chance on it to see if you like it as it works out at about $5 a month. This was how I looked at it, having used the app now Im pretty certain I will be buying the app again once my year is up.

Lemon

My husband purchased the HondaLink Navigation App for me as a gift. It is not user freindly & takes to long to set up destination. Mine looses connection to my phone cable, device needs installed , install amp, sign in user name comes up & , when it does work it goes to searching for a long time in areas where I need it most. . Do yourself a favor & use the map on your phone & do not waste $64.00 on this product because it is a "lemon"
